The SHEQ Administrator is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and review of the JBC’s SHEQ management systems, to ensure the safety of all stakeholder, in line with current SHEQ and associated legislation. This will lead to certification and the retention of certification to ISO Standards
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates the development, implementation and maintenance of the Company’s SHEQ Systems.
Initiates the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that SHEQ activities are effectively implemented and maintained.
Leads and conducts internal audits and coordinate external audits for Safety, Health, Environment and Quality. Develop programmes that ensure compliance with all Statutory Requirements.
Ensures that ISO Certifications for the Company are maintained.
Conducts periodic legal compliance audits to ensure compliance with statutory, legal and other requirements.
Develops and implement SHEQ training programmes for the Company.
Controls and update all Safety, Health, Environment and Quality documents to ensure that only current revisions are in use.
Work proactively with managers and other key staff to establish and maintain a programme of continuous improvement in the management of SHEQ systems within their areas of responsibility, which includes conducting regular audits.
Supervises, facilitates and coordinates the acquisition and renewal of licences and permits including the conduct of legal and statutory inspections.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
A qualification in Quality Assurance, Geography, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety qualifications.
Having been involved in system migration will be an added advantage.
At least three years’ experience in a SHEQ related field
Trained and qualified SHEQ Systems Auditor
Ability to communicate at all levels both internally and externally
Ability to interpret standards, statutory legal and other requirements into working documents.
Ability to analyse situations and activities and to provide a fair judgement on the outcome.
